The man behind GCAS, Creston Davis, is also its director. With Slavoj Zizek and John Milbank, he co-authored Paul’s New Moment; with Clayton Crockett and Zizek, he co-authored Hegel & the Infinite; with Crockett and Zizek, he co-authored Theology & the Political; with Crockett and Zizek, he co-authored Theology after Lacan: A Passion for the Real; and with Badiou, he co-authored Contradiction & America, which is soon to be published. Several periodicals have published his work, including Rethinking Marxism, Angelaki, and Political Theology.
His piece “Philosophical Temperaments: From Plato to Foucault” was included in Peter Sloterdijk’s book. co-editor of the academic book series Insurrections: Critical Studies in Religion, Politics & Culture (Columbia University Press) and co-editor of the Duke University Press series New Slant.
Along with his scholarly works, he has written two novels and is a contributor to The Huffington Post, Truthout, The European Magazine, and Al Jazeera (English).
At Alma Mater Europaea, he holds the position of professor of philosophy.
